Is there a free trial?+
Yes — 30 days of Pro, no credit card required. Every feature is unlocked. Add a card before day 30 to keep going on Pro.
What happens if I don't add a card before the trial ends?+
Your account stays fully accessible for a 7-day grace period with reminders, then becomes read-only. You won't be charged automatically. Add a card any time to keep going on Pro — your data is preserved while you decide.
Is there a minimum number of seats on Pro?+
Yes — Pro is billed for a minimum of 5 seats, even if your team is smaller; the same minimum applies during your trial. On monthly plans your seat count auto-adjusts to your active employees each cycle (with a 5-seat floor). On annual plans you commit to a seat count for the year — you can add seats anytime (prorated), but reductions take effect at renewal.
What's included?+

Can I cancel anytime?+
Yes. Cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. You'll keep access until the end of your billing period, and your data is retained for a window after that in case you reactivate.
Where is my data hosted?+
Your data is hosted in Canada. Your primary HR database is hosted in a Canadian region. We are PIPEDA-aligned and follow provincial privacy laws (including Quebec Law 25). Our full subprocessor list and any cross-border processing is disclosed in our privacy policy.
How does payroll work?+
WalnutsHR runs alongside your current payroll provider while we finish native Canadian payroll. Join the waitlist at /payroll-waitlist to be first when it ships in 2026.
