Coming in 2026

Canadian payroll that doesn't break at tax time.

CPP/EI, T4 and T4A, ROE filing, CRA remittance — built natively in Canada, not retrofitted from a US product. Join the waitlist and be first when it ships.

What's coming in 2026

CPP/EI + provincial deductions

Every pay run, every province. QPP/QPIP for Quebec handled separately — not lumped in with CPP/EI like most US-built products do.

T4 and T4A generation

Slips produced in CRA-accepted format, ready for electronic or paper filing at year end — and a plain-language pay stub for every employee.

ROE filing

Automatic draft within Service Canada's five-day window whenever there's an interruption of earnings — no spreadsheet to fill out.

CRA remittance

Monthly or quarterly PD7A amounts calculated from each pay run's deductions, matched to your organization's remitter status.

Why wait instead of using a US-built product?

Because Canadian payroll compliance is genuinely different. CRA schedules, provincial tax tables, Quebec's parallel tax system, ROE filing deadlines — none of it translates from a US engine.

Canadian from day one

Built in Canada, for Canada. Not a US payroll engine with a maple leaf painted on it. We're taking the time to do the math right.

Bilingual EN/FR

Pay stubs, T4 slips, and admin controls all available in English and French. Essential for Quebec teams under Bill 96.

Canadian-region database

Payroll database hosted in a Canadian region of our cloud provider, encrypted at rest. Subprocessor details in our privacy policy.

What do I do for payroll in the meantime?

WalnutsHR runs alongside your current payroll provider — Wagepoint, Humi, Knit, ADP, Ceridian, QuickBooks Payroll, or any other. Your HR data (employee records, time off, documents, org chart) lives in WalnutsHR. Your pay cycle runs where it runs today.

When our payroll ships, you'll have the option to move — no migration headache, no second login. Until then, you pay for HR software, not HR plus payroll bundled together.

Questions from the waitlist

When exactly will payroll ship?+
Our target is 2026. We won't pin a specific quarter because Canadian tax compliance is genuinely hard — we'd rather ship it right than ship it on a deadline.

Is the waitlist free? Any commitment?+
Completely free and no commitment. You'll get an email when payroll ships and, for waitlist members, a discount on the first year.
Will built-in payroll cost extra?+
We haven't finalized payroll pricing yet. Our pledge: whatever we charge stays priced in CAD and skips the nickel-and-diming that bolt-on payroll providers tend to use.
What if I sign up for WalnutsHR now?+
You're signing up for the HR product. When payroll ships, you'll have the option to add it to your existing account — no migration, no second login, no data re-entry.
